The Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS) is pleased to announce the Mountain West Dental Institute (MWDI) has achieved Denver’s 5 Star Certification for going above and beyond current COVID-19 safety guidelines.

The Mountain West Dental Institute is owned and operated by MDDS; located at the corner of 9th Avenue and Lincoln Street in the Beauvallon Building in the heart of Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood. MWDI houses state-of-the-art meeting space for continuing education events and business meetings, with over 3,500 square feet of meeting space, including two auditoriums, banquet hall, executive board room, four-chair dental clinic and wet lab. Under current social distancing requirements, MWDI can safely accommodate groups of up to 32 in the auditorium with space for additional attendees in additional rooms. These spaces are ideal for hands-on dental education courses, strategic planning sessions and team retreats.

The 5 Star Certification Program opened for Denver businesses in February 2021 to facilitate the safe reopening and economic development of businesses in the following sectors: event venues, hotels and lodging, restaurants and bars, fitness centers and personal care services. In order to qualify for the voluntary certification, MWDI went through a rigorous audit of current safety and public health practices in place to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus. Safety measures in practice include: mask requirements, screening procedures, social distancing measures, hand hygiene stations, enhanced cleaning measures, ventilation improvements, team training and more.

MDDS Executive Director, Shelly Fava, MA, CMP had this to say about receiving the designation, “Just like the dental industry we represent, our first priority is always the health and safety of our guests and team.
