Now that you’re in dental practice, do you ever feel like you have bitten off more than you can chew? Not sure how to handle the daily stresses? Do you ever feel like you’re doing your best but still worry about failing? Do you feel like an imposter? Are you having a hard time finding balance between your career, social and family life?

The Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS) and Dr. Laura Brenner, of Lolabees Career Coaching, are teaming up to create a dialog and support system to help you re-discover the purpose and passion that drew you to dentistry. The MDDS Professional Development & Coaching Group is a 4-month group for new dentists with a goal of career longevity specifically designed for dentists who have been practicing ten years or less. Join other dentists in an intimate and confidential setting to encourage support, honesty and professional and personal growth. Lean-in and explore topics like:

Sample Curriculum:

Week 1: Introduction and establish group expectations. Introduction of the program’s purpose and guidelines about how the group will interact and get-to-know-you icebreaker.

Week 2: Managing Perfectionism. Exploration of where addiction to perfection comes from, how it impacts self-worth, and create individual practices to reduce the pressure to be perfect.

Week 3: All About Boundaries. Discussion on how to draw boundaries for yourself in the office and at home, to leave work at work and stop the worrying spiral. Creating healthy boundaries can help work relationships, communication, being a team player and earning respect as a leader.

Week 4: Imposter Syndrome. We are all unique individuals with different strengths. Uncover different ways imposter syndrome can show up and learn strategies to manage it.

The next session will begin in August 2024. Meet-ups will be held at the MDDS office from 6:30pm – 8:00pm on the second Wednesday of each month:

  • Wednesday, August 14, 2024
  • Wednesday, September 11, 2024
  • Wednesday, October 9, 2024
  • Wednesday, November 6, 2024

Take advantage of this opportunity to connect with peers in a confidential setting who are facing the same ups and downs as you! Sign-up or learn more by completing the form below.
