The Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS) is pleased to announce a partnership with Denver Health and their Refugee Clinic at Lowry. Each year thousands of refugees make Denver their new home. Many of these people are fleeing dreadful conditions in their home countries. While most refugees are covered by Medicaid there is not an adequate number of dentists to provide appropriate care.

MDDS is encouraging members to volunteer at least one Friday each month to complete dental screenings as part of the overall medical screenings each refugee receives upon their arrival to Denver. Many of these patients have never seen a dental provider and, at the very least, need to be actively linked to ongoing care. If you are interested in learning more about the program and it’s requirements, please complete the form below or contact Dr. Michael Raizen at (303) 602-4599.

The Metro Denver Dental Society is a not-for-profit component society of the American Dental Association and the Colorado Dental Association.

The MDDS is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. MDDS designates courses for the number of CE hours listed with each course. MDDS credits are approved by the AGD for Fellowship and Mastership credits.
