HR Webinar: The Time Off Pileup
March 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

WEBINAR: The Time Off Pileup
Presented by Mr. David Bashford
Colorado has mandated paid sick time, under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, and Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI). In addition, employers may offer vacation and/or paid time off and may have a parental leave benefit, or short-term disability insurance. How does it all fit together? What are employers required to accrue for every employee and when are employees allowed to use the time? Do employees need permission to use the accrued time off? How do the available options intersect with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Colorado equivalent? We will unpack the pile and bring order to the chaos.
Objectives
- Understand the requirements and implementation of Colorado’s paid sick time, FAMLI, and other leave policies to ensure compliance in your practice.
- Learn how to effectively manage employee time off requests while navigating legal intersections with the ADA and Colorado laws.
- Gain clarity on balancing employee rights with practice operations to handle time-off requests.
