WEBINAR: Designing Next Generation Digital Materials
Presented by Jeffrey Stansbury, PhD, FADM, FAADOCR
Explore the evolving landscape of digital dentistry as it shifts from subtractive to additive manufacturing techniques. This webinar will examine the latest advancements in 3D printing hardware, software, and materials for producing durable and esthetic dental prostheses. Learn how emerging technologies and research are transforming both in-office and lab-based workflows. Discover how these innovations are shaping the future of restorative and prosthodontic care through a featured case study at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where researchers are developing monolithic printed dentures with integrated antimicrobial and antifungal functionality.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify current trends and advancements in 3D printing technologies for dental applications.
- Compare the benefits and limitations of additive versus subtractive manufacturing in prosthesis fabrication.
- Examine real-world applications and research efforts, including CU’s development of multifunctional printed dentures.
