HANDS-ON Oral Surgery Techniques for Predictably Great Outcomes

Dr. Alonge guides you through detailed hands-on exercises, allowing you to become more proficient with: 1) surgical instrumentation, 2) routine and surgical exodontia, 3) third molar extractions and 4) socket preservation grafting.

Return to your office with new skills that will allow you to perform your surgical procedures with greater efficiency and predictability.

Objectives

• Utilize specialty anatomic forceps for efficient and less traumatic oral surgery.
• Position instruments, patients and yourself to become proficient with routine, as well as more complex surgical procedures.
• Perform alternative incision and flap designs to remove mandibular third molars.
• Utilize surgical burs, handpieces and elevators for rapid removal of teeth.

Dr. John Alonge earned his DDS from the University of Maryland, along with his master’s degree in anatomy. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He maintains a private practice in Erie, PA and serves as a clinical instructor for the LECOM School of Dental Medicine Erie Outreach Clinic. In addition, he is a member of the Examination Committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Cancellations will be accepted and are entitled to a refund provided they are received at MDDS by the cancellation deadline. Refunds will not be given for cancellations after the cancellation deadline.

MWDI Parking Information
For your convenience, we have free parking in two retail garages within the Beauvallon building (east-facing side). Both garages are accessed from Lincoln Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. Parking in these garages is available on a first-come, first-served basis. **If you are attending a large course/event at the MWDI, we recommend arriving early in case the garages fill and alternative parking must be secured. Be aware – the garages come up quickly after you cross 9th Avenue and both have left lane entrances. All numbered spaces within both retail parking garages (without “Reserved” signs) are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Do not park in any spaces with a red sign that says “Matrix” or “KCNC.” Do not park in the residential parking. Residential garages are at the back of the retail garages.
